About the Artist

wanda rouzan

Wanda loves all things New Orleans, especially performing at special events and the being a part of the Saints Who Dat Nation.  Fishing, down home cooking,  Friday night poker, casinos, reading and travel are her many interests and just enjoying all that her beloved NOLA 504 has to offer.   Rouzan is forever grateful giving thanks to her God, loving family and fantastic fans while she continues to promote education and community, the culture, music and tradition of her beloved New Orleans.....m..m..good. 

Education

Wanda's education includes a Master's Degree from the Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor's Degree from Xavier University of LA. where she was a graduate and faculty member in the Communications Department.  She is a retired Gifted and Talented Theatre Arts Teacher from Audubon Charter School where she made a difference in the lives of young people. She is President and CEO of Rouzan Entertainment, Inc. and has served on numerous Boards and Committees including The LA. Philharmonic, The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, The New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts Building Committee, The Black Music Hall of Fame and Xavier University of LA., presently serving St. Katharine Drexel Preparatory formerly Xavier Prep.  She continues to work for the education of young people.  Her dedication to Xavier Prep-St. Katharine Drexel Prep (SKDP) has spanned over thirty years.  She founded the Xavier Prep Alumni Association and has served three terms as President and created the XP Alumni Scholarship Fundraiser, “Remember When” a music festival on Magazine St. celebrating its 24rd year.
